​This class is available in self-paced training & online live Virtual Class and online . The Xactimate Training Course is designed for beginners to intermediate Xactimate users.
Students in this course will be introduced to the techniques and best practices needed to create small to medium loss estimates using a variety of Xactimate tools. Students will be taught the most efficient ways to set-up, sketch, scope, and deliver professional estimates. All this is done while preparing students for Level 1 and 2 Certification Exams. The class is taught by an Xactimate Certified Trainer with experience as a Field & Desk Adjuster and Contractor using Xactware’s approved method to maximize retention of the 4 step estimating process.  In addition to the hands on training, each student will have access to pre-class videos upon registration prior to class with exercises to begin improving their skills before class. After the live class, students will have access to the online self paced training videos for that class for a period of 30 days (additional time may be purchased at the end of the 30 days). Students who purchase the self-paced training will have access to the online self paced training videos for a period of 1 year.

The Fundamentals & Proficiency Class will take you from the very beginning and most basic aspects of Xactimate through the completion of an estimate. This classroom, virtual class & online self paced training allows students to see how to perform functions one step at a time & follow along one step at a time. Shortcuts are shown along the way to begin developing speed. Keyword searches are emphasized so that even those without construction backgrounds will be able to find estimate items.

This live online classes is a three day, instructor-led class. Students complete a variety of practice estimates and hands-on Xactimate exercises. The instructor incorporates the teaching methodology of demonstrate, participate, and practice. After receiving demonstration of Xactimate concepts by the instructor, students participate in discussion then practice the concepts within Xactimate. During the course progression, exercises build on previously taught concepts to provide reinforcement. The Xactimate workbook is included to follow along with and for future reference. Test preparation exercises to assist in level certification success will be provided.  Please Note: Xactimate is not compatible with Mac Products or Chromebook (windows laptop needed)

For those interested in the online self-paced version of this class, the training videos are in order and range from approximately 5-30 minutes to accomodate any schedule. The videos were purposely made shorter for easy reference when a refresher is needed or searching a particular item. ​Xactimate ( XM8 ) ​Mobile Class

Course Description

​This class is only available in-person or on online self-paced training. This course is perfect for those that want to learn how to sketch, photograph, label and even scope at the site. Tired of getting back to where you are working and finding out you forgot to take that one measurement you really need? Xactimate Mobile is a real time saver. While Xactimate Mobile also works on some non-Mac tablets, this course is shown on a Mac IPAD and there may be minor differences. The Self-Paced Training videos were made short so that material can be easily found and not have to scroll through longer videos. The videos are in order and range from approximately 15-40 minutes to accommodate any schedule.  The videos were purposely made shorter for easy reference when a refresher is needed or searching a particular item. A one year membership to Crest LLC is included for the course you registered for and the videos will be available for that year.​

FUNDAMENTALS & PROFICIENCY (Interiors Only) - COST $420.00
 This class is only available in online self-paced training. It is designed for new to intermediate Xactimate users who are only interested in learning interior sketching and scoping. This course is excellent for Mitigation & General Contractors whose scope does not include roofing. This course does not include the workbook, but the workbook can be purchased separately via this link.

Students in this course will be introduced to the techniques and best practices needed to create small to medium loss estimates using a variety of Xactimate tools. Students will be taught the most efficient ways to set-up, sketch, scope, and deliver professional estimates. The class is taught by an Xactimate Certified Trainer with experience as a Field & Desk Adjuster and Contractor using Xactware’s approved method to maximize retention of the 4 step estimating process. 

The Interiors Only Class will take you from the very beginning and most basic aspects of Xactimate through the completion of an estimate. The  online self paced training allows students to see how to perform functions one step at a time & follow along one step at a time. The videos were created with the same information as provided in the classroom and are timed so that students have time to follow along (although the videos can be paused, rewinded and replayed as many times as needed)  Shortcuts are shown along the way to begin developing speed. Keyword searches are emphasized so that even those without construction backgrounds will be able to find estimate items. ​

The videos are in order and range from approximately 5-30 minutes to accommodate any schedule. The videos were purposely made shorter for easy reference when a refresher is needed or searching a particular item. A one year membership to Crest LLC is included for the course you registered for and the videos will be available for that year.

​FUNDAMENTALS & PROFICIENCY (Roof Only) - COST $420.00
 This class is only available in online self-paced training. It is designed for new to intermediate Xactimate users who are only interested in learning roof sketching and scoping. This course is excellent for roofing contractors whose scope does not include interior estimating. This course consists of both the Fundamentals & Proficiency videos without the interior portion videos. Some additional videos were remade to apply to roofs. Portions of some conceptual videos of interiors will also be included as the material also applies to roofs. This course does not include the workbook, but the workbook can be purchased separately via this link.

This class is only available in online self-paced training. It is designed for new to intermediate Xactimate users who are only interested in learning aspects of sketch and not the estimating portion of Xactimate. This course does not include the workbook, but the workbook can be purchased separately via this link.

This course was designed for those with familiarity with the estimating & reporting aspects of Xactimate but would like to learn or improve their sketching abilities commonly used in the field. The class is taught by an Xactimate Certified Trainer with experience as a Field & Desk Adjuster and Contractor using Xactware’s approved method to maximize retention of the 4 step estimating process. 

The Sketch Class will take you from the very beginning and most basic aspects of Xactimate sketching as taught at the level 1 and through level 2. The  online self paced training allows students to see how to perform functions one step at a time & follow along one step at a time. The videos were created with the same information as provided in the classroom and are timed so that students have time to follow along (although the videos can be paused, rewinded and replayed as many times as needed).   

The videos are in order and range from approximately 5-30 minutes to accommodate any schedule. ​Xactimate For Desk Adusters - COST $375.00
This class is only available in online self-paced training. It is designed for new to intermediate Xactimate users who are only interested in learning aspects of desk adjusting or estimating which do not include sketching. This course does not include the workbook, but the workbook can be purchased separately via this link.

Students in this course will be introduced to the techniques commonly used by desk adjusters or estimators that have no need to sketch. This course teaches you the  estimating portion of Xactimate to include all the searches, setting up preferences, using variables, grouping folders and many of the commonly used desk adjuster functions such as global changes, miscellaneous items, bid items, note functions, code upgrades, PWI, releasing depreciation, etc. and how to set up revisions and changes to an estimate.  The course is taught by an Xactimate Certified Trainer with experience as a Field & Desk Adjuster and Contractor using Xactware’s approved method to maximize retention of the 4 step estimating process. 

​Desk Adjuster Curriculum
The Desk Adjuster Class will take you from the very beginning and most basic aspects of Xactimate. The  online self paced training allows students to see how to perform functions one step at a time & follow along one step at a time. The videos were created with the same information as provided in the classroom and are timed so that students have time to follow along (although the videos can be paused, rewinded and replayed as many times as needed)   Keyword searches are emphasized so that even those without construction backgrounds will be able to find estimate items. ​

​Xactimate ( XM8 ) Mastery Class (Level 3) - COST $420.00

Course Description - Level 3

This class is only available in online self-paced training. It is designed for intermediate to advanced Xactimate users. Students in this course should build on their knowledge of Sketch by learning to create more complex diagrams (large interiors and exteriors, roofs, and more) as well as estimating within Sketch. Students will be taught advanced variables, keyboard shortcuts and other techniques to improve their skills. The course also focuses on a variety of estimating methods to increase overall efficiency. All this is done while preparing students for the Level 3 Certification Exam. The class is taught by an Xactimate Certified Trainer with experience as a Field & Desk Adjuster and Contractor using Xactware’s approved method to maximize retention of the 4 step estimating process. ​​This course does not include the workbook, but the workbook can be purchased separately via this link.

​XactScope (for Roofs & Exteriors) - COST $175.00

Course Description

This class is only available in online self-paced training. XactScope is an interactive solution that combines a virtual property model with a scripted set of prompts to guide a user through scoping various types of property damage. The tool works within Xactimate to simplify claims by eliminating the need to individually add all items for an estimate, instead creating the items automatically based on the answers users give to the pre-programed prompts. The user's answers are applied to build a full estimate, including all the items that will be needed, in a fraction of the time it would take to manually create the estimate.
XactScope takes the previous Geomni Image to Scope solution that was part of a Geomni data package and fully integrates it into Sketch in Xactimate. XactScope works with customer-created Sketches, as well as other data imported from various sources. XactScope has also been expanded to cover scoping other types of property damage, such as roofing and exteriors (which will also be coming to Crest soon). It relies on the Xactimate Sketch tool to generate prompts for the user. It uses the answers to determine the items for the estimate and calculates quantities based on the sketch. You can manually create the sketch or import it from various sources.

XactScope is an added feature for Xactimate Professional Version users in Xactimate desktop (X1) and Xactimate online. You can also use XactScope in Xactimate mobile. XactScope is only available in the Xactimate Professional Version.
A note from your instructor:
​On my journey to becoming an adjuster, I took 2 Xactimate courses from Non Xactware Certified trainers. I was very impressed with their knowledge at the time and I am sure they were excellent adjusters. Unfortunately, they were never taught how to teach and the classes went right over my head. Once lost, it is hard to recover.  They spoke to the class as if they were experienced adjusters because that is what they were used to having around them. I teach with that experience in mind and the goal of leaving no one behind. 
Students of these course should meet the following requirements before attending class:
  • Knowledge of the property loss industry and terminology
  • Participants provide their own laptop with Xactimate X1 installed
  • External computer mouse
