Downloading the Free Xactimate Demo
IF YOU ARE NEW TO XACTIMATE & WOULD LIKE CREST TO SET YOU UP WITH A FREE 30 DAY DEMO: Please Note: Xactimate is not compatible with Mac Products or Chromebook (a windows laptop or PC is needed)
The instructor will set up an instance (sort of like an account) for you. You will receive an email with a link to download the program using that instance. This instance will only have one price list available which is the same price list used for the exam (in case you are interested in taking the certification exam). This training instance will not have data transfer which means you cannot transfer any work you have done to any other instance of Xactimate. Once that instance is deleted, you cannot recover your work. No credit card info is necessary for this option.
Once you email us notifying us that you would like us to set up a training instance for you:
a- you will need to get an Xactimate ID @ this link. (Use your email address as your Xactimate ID)
b- An email will be sent to you from Verisk to verify your information.
c- Then email Crest at [email protected] or call your instructor @ 941-405-5156 and he will set you up. Once this instance is created for you, you will automatically receive the following email:
You have been invited to use the Alfred Rey Training instance in Xactimate. You can log in using your Xactware ID.

Upon Completion of the download, you should be able to open the Xactimate Icon on your desktop, sign in and open to the control panel page in Xactimate and you are ready!
IMPORTANT: You can tell which version you have downloaded by the number of options in the vertical blue stripe on the left under "Xactimate". The desktop version has 5 tabs as shown below (Local, Cloud, Preferences, Tools and Help). The Online Version only has 3 (Project, Preferences and Help). Also, you don't need to open a Browser to open the desktop version. If you inadvertently downloaded the Online Version, you can call Verisk @ 1-800-424-9228 and they will help you switch over. The Live Chat can also be used (see below).

- Once you have downloaded the free trial and can open it, you will have to register. To register, the instructions can be found at http://xactware.custhelp.com/app/opa/guides/XactNet_Address_Register_or_Recover . You will not be able to download a pricelist until you have registered.

If you need help from the Verisk Live Chat, you can go to the eService Center , log in using your new Xactimate ID and click on the blue "Chat with us" button on the bottom left corner. Select & fill drop down menus and click on "Start Chatting".
